Homemade Chicken Shawarma is a mouthwatering Middle Eastern dish that brings together succulent marinated chicken, aromatic spices, and a medley of fresh ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g chicken

Season The Chicken

  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp red chili
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp chili sauce
  • ½ tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

Topping

  • ½ green bell pepper
  • ½ onion slices
  • ½ tomato slices

Instructions
 

Season the Chicken

  • In a bowl add the chicken and season with salt, red chili, garam masala, black pepper, soy sauce, chili sauce, white vinegar, ginger garlic paste. mix it well and marinate for atleast 30 minutes.

Cook the Chicken

  • Place a pan over medium flame add 1 tbsp oil and cook the marinated chicken for 5 minutes until chicken in tender.

Toast the Pita Bread

  • Place another pan over medium heat and grease the pan with oil now toast the bread on both sides. Cut the bread in halves and make a pocket. Lay the pita flat on a plate or clean surface. Spread a spoonful of the shawarma sauce on the inside of the pita.

Assemble the Shawarma

  • Place a generous amount of the cooked shawarma filling on top of the sauce in the pita bread. Add fresh Topping like onion, tomato and bell pepper.

Serving

  • Serve with your Favourite sauce and enjoy.
