Ingredients
  

Making Shami Kebab

  • 1 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram), soaked for 3-4 hours
  • 500 g chicken
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp dry coriander
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 2-3 whole red chili
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4-5 cloves
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 5-6 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, grated

For the Burger Assembly

  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 eggs
  • Sliced onions
  • Cabbage
  • Ketchup and mayonnaise for dressing

Instructions
 

Shami Kebabs Preparation

  • Drain the soaked chana dal and place a pan over medium flame and combine the 1 cup chana dal, chicken, garam masala, dry coriander, cumin, whole red chili, cinnamon, cloves, red chili powder, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, onion, green chilies, cloves garlic, ginger Mix everything well and cook for 30-40 minutes.

Bending

  • Blend the all ingredients until to form a smooth dough-like mixture. Shape the mixture into flat round patties, similar to burger patties. Refrigrate for 10 minutes.

Frying the Shami Kebab

  • Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Beat 2 eggs and the the kebab in egg mix the Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides. Make sure they are cooked thoroughly from the inside.

Preparing the Eggs

  • In a separate pan, heat a little oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and fry them sunny-side-up or as per your preference. Spread the onion ans cabbage on top of egg the applu some ketchup and mayonise fold the egg from both sides.
