  • 2 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1 cup boiled chicken, shredded
  • 2 tbsp cilantro (hara dhaniya), finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp qasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • all-purpose flour (for coating)
  • 1 large eggs (for dipping)
  • oil (for frying)
  • Ketchup (for serving)

  • In a medium-sized pot, place the potato wedges and add 2 cups of water. Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes until they become tender.
  • Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them and let them cool for a few minutes. Use a potato masher to mash the potatoes.
  • Add the boiled and shredded chicken, finely chopped cilantro, mint leaves, qasoori methi, red chili powder, garam masala, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a cylindrical patty or cutlet shape. Place the all-purpose flour on a plate. Coat each potato patty with flour and then dip into beaten egg.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties into the pan. Fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides, which should take about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove the fried patties from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
  • Serve the potato and chicken snack patties hot with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce.

  • Potato Texture: Make sure to boil the potatoes until they are tender but not overly soft. Overcooked potatoes can make the mixture too mushy.
  • Chicken Preparation: Use boiled chicken for this recipe. Shred the chicken into small pieces for easy mixing.
